Unable to load Product MDT for Unified Planning Area

Hi,

While uploading Product MDT template, I am getting the following error:
"Ambiguous values found for non-root attributes BRAND,PRDGROUP in source master data type SI1PRODUCT using root attributes BRAND,PRDGROUP for planning level SAPIBP1.MTHPRODFMLCUSTRGNCURR"

I checked the configuration of SAPIBP1.MTHPRODFMLCUSTRGNCURR and found theat the Root attribute for Product MDT for this level is "PRDFAMILY".

Please suggest some way out this issue.

Hi Saabitri,

This error usually indicates an inconsistency with your data. When system tries to update the master data on MTHPRODFMLCUSTRGNCURR planning level, it will find more than one record for BRAND, PRDGROUP corresponding to one unique root attribute of the respective planning level.

Let me give you an example which you can understand on your own model.

Let's assume we have MD Type1 with the following root attributes:

• Root A
• Root B
• Root C

=>The combination of A&B&C must always be unique.

Now, MD Type1 is part of PL1.

In this planning level we have only Root B and Root C as roots.

=>The combination of B&C must be unique.

When you try to upload data in MD Type1, the values will also update the values from the table correponding to the planning level and will generate combinations of root and non-root attributes that are not unique.
