Transportation Shipment Frequency in Location Source

Hello,

In th Location Source Master Data there is an attribute that indicates Transportation Shipment Frequency. Whats does it indicate?

Im having trouble modelling a mode of transport that have high fixed costs and should only activate once or twice a ywar, however it doesnt matter how high I set the cost the optimizer allocates a volumen in each motnh.

Hello Martin,

I assume you are referring to the Attribute Transportation Shipment Frequency Per Week (TSHIPMENTFREQUENCY) in MDT Location Source. This is an Attribute related to the Inventory Optimization algorithms and it indicates the number of shipments on a transportation lane, per week. Used to determine cycle stock downstream.

If you are referring to the Time-Series-Based Optimizer algorithm, then this Attribute is not considered at all by it and if you know the validity period of specific T-Lanes, you may use the MDT Location Source Validity.

With this new MDT you can specify the periods that T-Lanes are valid. Outside of the period, they are not considered by the Optimizer.
