Dear friends,
I have a CIF shipment which is to be delivered from factory to port (by road) and port to destination (by sea).
I create two shipment documents for preliminary leg - by road and main leg - by sea to process this shipment.
After both documents are processed, then transportation planning status in delivery order is still set to "B - partially processed" instead of "C - completely processed"
If I treat this shipment as DAP instead of CIF by adding one more leg in route i.e. from destination port to customer's location and make another shipment document for subsequent let - by road, then transportation planning status in delivery is set to "C - completely processed"
How I can set delivery status to "C - completely processed" after completing first two shipment documents for preliminary leg and main leg in CIF shipment?
Any idea?
Regards,
Muhammad Fahim

Hi,
you can find the answer of what to do in SAP Note "321930 - Transportation planning status depending on Incoterm 1"
While a part of the explanation ("Transportation planning status is set - regardless of the Incoterm - to 'C' (completely processed) if the point of departure and the destination of the delivery are completely covered - without any gaps - by the stages to which the delivery is assigned") is not true (the reality is much easier), the note explains what you have to do to get the status to "C".

Sir, your response to my query open up for me a new avenue of coming up to the solutions by way of user / customer exists. Thanks for the same as I have been in the process of learning SAP SD / LE configuration.
However, I tried coming up to the solution within SAP standard without enhancement. For that matter, I replaced main leg in my route with direct leg and processed the shipment.
First I made preliminary leg shipment by road and then direct leg shipment by sea. Once I saved shipment document with direct leg, it updated transportation planning status in delivery order to "C - Complete".
That's how I managed to resolve my problem within SAP standard.
Now the problem could arise if someone make direct shipment document before preliminary shipment document. It would update delivery order status to "C" before preliminary shipment by road.
I can handle that with selection variant in shipment type by setting reference shipment document mandatory for direct leg.
I do not foresee any problem in replacing main leg with direct leg. If you see any problem, please let me know.
Thanks.

Muhammad Fahim
By in my case, it worked fine. May be due to following settings in shipment document.
Leg indicator=Direct
Adopt route=stages with leg indicator in shipment header
Determine legs=blank (no leg to be determined)
Leg indicator in shipment document and route both are direct. When I create shipment document by sea and assign delivery, it auto picks direct leg in shipment document.
Anyway, thanks for your reply.
