Transportation Charge Calculation - Absolute & Relative behavior

Dear SAP Community,

We have a requirement from our customer related to Transportation Charge Calculation.

From our understanding, the scale based on quantity are responsible for handling relative (x*value = result) and absolute (if x value then determine result) behavior.

Our customer would like to mix in the same rate table absolute and relative values. We figured out that it is possible but only based on the same scale interval item.

Our customer would need the following behavior:

Solution has been found through a slight custom enhancement.

You can do this without any custom enhancement. Rate Table determintion based on Customer will cover the requirement.

Thank you for your answer and concern.

I understand your proposal but as you know dealing with a rate table determination rule would lead to multiple rate tables (which has been rejected by the customer). Said differently from the initial question, we didn't want to have the calculation type determine on a interval of a scale but we wanted to have the calculation type based on the rate itself, on each combination of scales on the rate table.

Anyway, it has been solved in 10 lines of code.
