Good evening.
I have recently found out that I can transfer a sales plan from KE30 to SOP using transaction KE1E. I have 2 questions: How exactly this transfer works? I mean, where do I set the requirements type for example?
The second question is that in my mind, SOP is combined with the planning table, where I can make my arrangements in order to arrive to my production plan. However, even if I create the sales plan (regardless the way), I can save this sales plan with a version and transfer this as requirements to operative planning. Is this correct? Can I just use only the sales plan I have derived as production plan? I assume there is a transaction (md70 I think) that I can transfer any plan to any kind of requirements...
My question is that even if I am using SOP, it is not necessary to derive a production plan through the planning table: I can just use the sales values I have derive for this material in this version, as long as I transfer this plan to an active independent requirements version under any type of requirements (ie VSF???)
Many thanks,
Best kindest regards,

Hello Nikos
You don't need to define a requirement type when transferring the sales plan from CO-PA to SOP, since SOP is a higher level planning and it does not consider the planning strategy. The requirement type will be defined later, when transferring the SOP results to Demand Management.
If you check transaction MC75, where you transfer the SOP results to demand management, you will find a place to define the requirement type and you can also choose if you will transfer the sales plan or the production plan to demand management.

Hello caetano.almeida and thank you for your answer
I was in a company yesterday, where the showed us that they transfer the sales plan from COPA to SOP using transaction KE1E. As they showed us, the result was to have VSF requirements in the operative planning. And I do not understand how this happened. It is ok if you transfer plan through MC74 or MC75, where you define the requirements, but what about this case ?
Thank you very much

Hello
You can run everything with background jobs, so you don't need to run MC74 or MC75 manually. Also, the requirement may come from the material master strategy itself.
