TM Transportation Cockpit - Changing field attribute to editable?

Dear experts,

I would like to change/modify an attribute of a standard field: alternative quantity QUA_PCS2_VAL_I in the Transportation Cockpit: Freight Order List (corresponding UI structure: /SCMTMS/S_UI_PLN_FO). The field is specified as a textfield (display only) and I would like to make it editable.
Question: Is it possible via the new S/4HANA 2023 field catalogue feature - analog as it seems possible for the custom fields (described via Note 3562800 - TC: Not possible to set a customer field as an input field using the method: /SCMTMS/CL_UI_PLN_UIBB_BASE->GET_ENHANCEMENT_FIELD_DESCR)?

Hello,

I would recommend to not make field like quantity or unit of measure editable because all this fields is updated either from ERP or EWM side, not in TM.  

If you want to not show them in the TC you could use as you mentioned the  field catalogue feature.

Hello Rogerio, Thank You for checking my question. Yes, I do agree that in general the quantity fields should not be editable. In this case there is a de-central TM (without EWM). The alternative quantity (loading meter) should be editable because at the beginning of the planning proces it only serves as an estimate, later on the value will be updated with correct figure. But my question is still open: can we change the editability of the standard field via field catalogue? The note 3562800 mentions only custom fields but not the standard fields. Or how can I change the editability of a standard field with the new field catalogs (and if such manipulation is possible at all)? Thank You. Best regards, Beata

Hello Rogerio, Please let us set aside the application context. My question is: is it possible - for (any) standard field of the Transportation Cockpit e.g. Freight Order List (corresponding UI structure: /SCMTMS/S_UI_PLN_FO) - to adjust the property of a standard field via the field catalogue functionality (as it is described per Note 3562800 for the custom fields)?
