TM Logistics Integration Profile

This is for S/4 Embedded TM 1709 FPS01

Hi, Logistics Integration Profile in SPRO has two options - 01 Plan on Requested Qty / 02 Plan on Confirmed Qty as attached.

When I want to generate a freight unit in creating a purchase order, I can use this profile. I'm wondering how to use both options.

In my testing, if I select 01, I was able to get a freight unit from purchase order. But, in case of selecting 02, nothing happened.

Does anyone have any experience to implement this? It is really appreciated if any advice.

This may be because you don't have confirmed or committed quantities in purchase order. So if you use 'Plan on confirmed quantities' option, there wont be any quantity available to create FUs.

We use 'Plan on requested quantities' when the business is more less sure that the quantity in the order will be delivered fully (most of the times). For example material procurement from vendor via purchase order.

We use 'Plan on confirmed quantities' when the business is not sure whether the quantity in the order will be delivered fully. For example customer delivery via sales/delivery order.

Note: This not a hard and fast rule. You can choose the option based on the business requirment.
