TM-EWM integration in S/4 HANA

Hello experts,

I am new to SAP EWM and TM. We have developed a business scenario for TM and EWM considering S/4 HANA. I would like to know, how integration happens/can be done between EWM and TM for the flow/transfer of information within S/4 HANA. What is the customization to be done for the integration between both?

Hi Prajwal,

In S4HANA Direct Integration between EWM & TM with 3 scenarios.

1) Direct Integration ( Freight Order <--> TU )

2) Warehouse Billing ( Forwarding Order & Freight Order )

3) Transit Warehousing

Coming to technical details

1) Basis Setup is required ( Integration Engine, SRT_TOOLS )

2) PI / ABAP Consultant is needed for configuring SOAMANAGER integration scenario.

3) Maintain EWM Integration profile in freight order type.

4) Enable PPF /SCWM/LDAP_....SEND in EWM which will send updates to EWM on check in , check out.

Note: here we can tweek SAP logic by changing schedule condition to send Load Begin & Load End also.

5) We can enable Package Building in TM & also maintain SAP2 in EWM Cartonization planning so that PSHU's will get created automatically EWM once the TU is created with Loading Appointment Request.

6) When we do short pick in EWM on check out the actual quantities & also Handling Units( Package ID in TM ) will be updated back to TM.

Do I need EWM advanced licence to use the TM / EWM integration or can I use EWM basic (no extra licence) for the integration with TM advanced?

SAP S/4HANA 2020 FPS01 should offer an TM / EWM integration on basic level, but what about SAP S/4HANA 2020 FPS00?

Hi, do you know if TU is mandatory when you have TM? I'm in 1709, we have TM and we are adding EWM basic license.
