TM deployment options to implement Shuttle Process

Hi experts,

I am trying to implement a new functionality of S/4 for Manufacturing Logistics, Shuttle process. To do this, I am following this official guide:

In this guide, there is a section that talks about the requirements to implement it, requirements in EWM and in TM too.

In this point, I had toc check 2 things: If I could use the basic version of SAP TM or if I need an advanced version, and then, talking about the deployment options, if I could implement Embedded TM 1909 in S/4 HANA or if TM Standalone 9.6 is required.

About the first question, I found this link where appears a lot of information about TM.

And after to read the differences between Basic Shipping TM in S/4 HANA and S/4 HANA Supply Chain TM (advanced version), I conclude that the second one is the required, for the integration with EWM.

But I could not find if TM could be implemented Embedded in S/4 HANA or not. I checked other links related with this topic, but the result was the same.

Does anyone know if TM S/4 HANA 1909 will let me implement the Shuttle Process or If I will need a Standalone TM 9.6 to do it?

Hi Sergi.

Consignment Orders are only available for TM advanced version. See attachment from Note 3065464

You will find information about the contents of each TM release in Note 2197051

Any stand alone implementation requires the TM advanced version. I recommend you to check if there a similar process integrating TM and EWM via Advanced Shipping and Receiving that could be implemented only using TM basic version, but ASR is only available from Embedded TM 2020 (S4HANA 2020) onwards.
