Hi,
Based on the integration guide available for SAP TM EM , in case they are installed in same server how do we check the RFC connection and config under Define SAP EM since I am not sure what entries to maintain as they are installed on same server
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Dipak,
You have to check the flag as "Local", If EM installed in same server and same client. If it is different client and different system, then uncheck the flag.
If you are working on Dev and QA servers then "Sync" should be checked and Production system "Sync" should be unchecked.
1. Event Management Interface -> Define System Configuration -> Define RFC Connection to SAP EM ->Click ABAP connection -> create - this always done by SAP BASIS team that you have to ask them to create one.
2. Event Management Interface -> Define System Configuration -> Define Logical System here
3. Event Management Interface -> Define SAP EM -> Here need to enter Local or Non-Local.

Hi Dipak,
please never set flag for local. This is only there for backward compatibility. Especially with TM-EM scenarios it will create severe issues!!!!
You can do the same settings as EM and TM where on different severs. Just set up in SM59 a local RFC destination.
Best regards,
Steffen
Hi Dipak,
You need to create a RFC connection (ABAP connection ) in SM59 with the same host as your TM-EM system. If not sure of host name, ask Basis for RFC host name for your TM system.
Then define your Logical system.
Then in Define SAP EM, use this RFC and Logical system and create an entry with Local and Sync unchecked.
This way, if you create TM objects, the comminication is via qRFC between TM and EM even though they are in same box.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Vishnu
