Colleagues,
I am currently utilising SCM v7.0 and i am having a couple of difficulties with TLB. I have created a TLB profile with a UoM in pallets (PAL). However whenever I attempt to execute the TLB planning heuristic the following error message is presented:-
/SAPAPO/VMI_PG_TLB038 - No pallet assigned to product&& ...
Is there a configuration setting to enable the TLB building in pallet loads or is this missing master data?
Your help is appreciated
Paul
Request clarification before answering.
Dear Paul
whenever TLB srats builging a truck load it will look at the rounding value at the destination location coupled with the TLB profile parameter maintiauined. As you say when you try with cases the tuck load is formed and when pallets it is givin an error. Looking at the behaviour my guess would be that when TLB is trying to build truck load and is comming into the valid TLB profile it is not in the rounding value of the destination location product.
Check the following
1. Unit conversions from Cases to pallet and base unit of measure to pallet or cases is maintained in the source and destination location both.
2. The rounding value assigned at the destination location maintained is falling inside the TLB profile in Pallets

Virender

Hi,
Have you checked if those products have a conversion from their Base Unit Of Measure to Pallets in the material master record?

Apologies I have confused the issue a little let me try to clarify.
To answer your question, there are UoM for Cases, ppallets and bottles. as expected.
I am wanting to utilise the TLB heuristic to automatically plan my products preferably in palletised quantities. Within the Change Display of Parameters in Interactive TLB, I have created the entries for the parameter 'PALLETS; as per the note 847955. However whenever I create a TLB profile with the parameter PALLETS and an upper and lower limit an error messae is displayed, if I choose the parameter Cases this works fine as expected.
The message is /SAPAPO/VMI_PG_TLB308 - No pallet assigned to product at source location, destination location.
Am I misunderstanding the role of this parameter, or is there a BADI to be implemented to make it work
Cheers
Paul
Hi Paul,
Th enote 847955 describe how to use pallet for DISPLAY purposes only:
"Use Pallets as parameter in the used TLB profile but do not specify limits on it: it is used only for display purposes and there is not logic implemented to manage it as the other standard parameters."
You should use the standard FLOORSPOT parameter to define your minimum and maximum threshold for pallet.
(for example if your stacking factor is 0 or 1 the number or floorspot equal the number of pallet)
You cannot use the PALLET parameter without implementating so (potentially very complex) abap coding.
See note 710198.
But I strongly advise against except is you really need it. But the floorspot paramter works perfectly fine.
The use of pallet for display is important to display the exact number of pallet in your truck (floorspot always looks rounded up)
I hope it helps

Hi, I just now solved this in my setup.Kindly refer below.
1. Check you have entered tlb profile in tcode /n/sapapo/tl3 for desired locations.
2.Go to /n/sapapo/tlbprf and there you can see your tlb profile, change it to Volume instead pallets. That's it, run TLB error will be resolved.
I hope it helps.
