Time Aggregation Profile Not working in SAP IBP for TS Optimizer

Hello All,

We are in process of implementing 'Time aggregation Profile' for Time Series ( TS ) Optimizer run. At present the period is 'Day' . To improve the system performance we would like to implement Time Aggregation Profile. We have performed following steps:

1. Time aggregation profile has been created in IBP. First 16 weeks in Days. Then 17 weeks onward in weeks till the end of 23rd months.

Aggregation Level Time Profile Level Aggregation Start Offset

1 Day 0

2 Week 17

3 Month 24

2. .Assigned the 'Time profile' to the 'Time aggregation Profile'. This time profile has been assigned to Planning Area – which has been used for actual planning. Time profile has periodicity as Days in future for 730 days , Periodicity as 104 Weeks for future and Periodicity as 24 Months for Future

3. In TS Optimizer profile , the time aggregation profile created in step 1 has been assigned and enabled the feature.

4. Executed time series optimizer through Excel UI. Period as Day.

Expected result: In the job log system is showing planning relevant period as 730 where as it should be close to 200. As per the aggregation profile we expect Time period as Day for 112 days, then remaining 84 period as weeks and the last period as Month.

Hello Lingaiah,

Thanks for your response. We have found the root cause. Under additional parameter of TS Optimizer the USEAGGREGATION parameter was marked as 'False'.

It is resolved now. Thanks for your help as always!!

Hi,

For each time aggregation profile, a time profile has to be selected in the Time Aggregation Profiles app. For the different time granularities to be respected within an optimization run, the time aggregation profile needs to be assigned to the optimizer profile in the S&OP Operator Profiles app. Keep in mind that only those time aggregation profiles are selectable within the S&OP Operator Profiles app that uses the same time profile as the planning area of the according to optimizer profile.

Once again check the following SAP documentation t omake sure all the settings are correct.

Please share the optimizer log for further analysis.
