there is no linkage between sales order and STO PO number for customizing report named Demand Report

Hi Team,

Hope you are doing well.

We are running MRP in a Make-to-Order (MTO) scenario where a Sales Order triggers MRP, resulting in Planned Orders and Purchase Requisitions, which are later converted into STO Purchase Orders. We need to develop a demand tracking report to trace the end-to-end linkage Sales Order → Purchase Requisition → STO Purchase Order; however, we could not find any standard SAP S/4HANA CDS View that provides this consolidated linkage, as available CDS views are module-specific and do not support cross-process traceabil

ity for MTO scenarios. Please provide the solution.

As per below screenshot, there are 4 fields in demand report which we have unable to find the CDS view to get data of below 4 fields

1. STO PO

2. STO PO DATE

3. STO PLANT

4. PLAN ORDER.

Good day @lithika_nandhakumar

Thank you for your question.

In public cloud, yes, there is no single standard CDS view (released) that gives you the process flow you described in one dataset. The public cloud only offers these CDS content specifically for objects e.g., SO, PR, PO etc. See https://help.sap.com/docs/SAP_S4HANA_CLOUD/c0c54048d35849128be8e872df5bea6d/8573b810511948c8a99c0672... for more details.

You can trace the chain E2E through MRP element and pegging views in the Material Coverage apps.

I suggest you:

  • Use Material Coverage and export because it is a standard solution in public cloud if your requirement is to trace and report without building custom CDS joins.

Here is a quick guide:

  • In your tenant, open Monitor Material Coverage – Net and Individual Segments. Filter by your material, plant and segment type.

  • Open the material and check coverage. Depending on your setup, you will see requirement elements and matching receipts elements e.g., Planned Order, PR and STO. Then you can export and use the data to build your demand tracking report outside the app.
