Hi fellows,
what is the difference between "Transport Receipts" and "In-Transit Receipts"?
As long as I know, the combination of attributes of these KFs are same(Ship-From - Product - Location), and wondering what makes a difference between the two KFs. it would be appreciated if you kindly told me the difference with a simple example so that I can understand well.
The Best,
Kenta

Hi Kenta,
Transport Receipts are the response to propagated dependent demand of the location. This is coordinated with the upstream keyfigure called outbound location demand.
In-Transist keyfigure in an other word is the result of initiating the transfer from one location to another. Stock will be deducted from the Inventory of Source Location and will be in the In-Transist status until it reaches the destination location where it will be added as the stock. Technically the upstream keyfigure is In-Transist Receipt and Downstream keyfigure is In-Transist Supply.
See the below example.
Day 1
Location A 20 qty; Location B 10 Qty; A --> B Duration 3 Days
A --> B Transport Receipt 10 Qty
Day 2
Location A 10 Qty; Location B 10 Qty;
B In-Transist 10 Qtys from A(In transist Day1)
Day3
Location A 10 Qty; Location B 10 Qty;
B In-Transist 10 Qtys from A(In Transist Day2)
Day4
Location A 10 Qty; Location B 10 Qty;
B In-Transist 10 Qtys from A(In Transist Day3)
Day5
Location A 10 Qty; Location B 20 Qty;
A --> B In-Transist 0 Qtys(In Transist Day3)
Best Regards,
Riyaz
