Templates HCI-DS : Server not registered

Hi all,

In HCI-DS, I am trying to use the template "SOP_MD_ProductMaster" to extract Product MD from ECC to IBP.

In the data flow, when I try to execute the task, it ends with the following error :

RFC CallReceive error <Function /BODS/RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN: RFC_ABAP_MESSAGE- Exception condition "SERVER_NOT_REGISTERED"

Extracting data from ECC using a simple table or extractor works well.

Any ideas what might be the cause of the problem?

Hi Pierre,

Can you please check the Gateway setting at ECC system.

In case if the HCI system details are not registered at ECC system, ECC system will not allow HCI-DS to pull data from it.

Try to check the Gateway configuration and check if the HCI details are present or not.

In case if it is absent you you can configure the HCI details in it.

We also faced the same issue, but once we have configured the gateway the problem was resolved.

Hi Pierre,

Your HCI-DS application is not able to find the proper RFC connection.

It is a SAP Server gateway security Issue, ask the Basis consultant to give more liberal permission for the system.

Hi Pierre,

Please check your data source and do a 'Connection Test'. Is it is working fine?

Hi Rinju,

Yes, the 'Connection Test' is successful.

I was able to :

- add tables and extractors into my ECC datastore

- run simple tasks which only use one table or one extractor at a time

The issue appears when I try to run the standard templates which use ABAP.

Hi Pierre,

Kindly check following:

• RFC Connection in source system (BASIS should be able to help on this - SM59)
• Authorization to userid used for connecting HCIDS & Source system - Most of the SAP security team donot follow the exact authorization mentioned in HCI Agent guide.
• Check if you get list of progs when you type *BODS* in SE37 / 38.
