Hello There,
I am looking for a guideline to install HANA Database for the SAP APO system. Currently, we have SAP APO with oracle database and system performance is poor because of huge data volume. So we are exploring if any possibility of system performance improvement by upgrading our database to HANA. Like many clients do the ECC upgrade with the HANA database with ERP Core as ECC and later on they move to S4 ERP Core? In a similar way, any possibility of upgrading the HANA database for the APO system to improve the system performance.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Manish,
As I understood, you want to migrate the database from Oracle to HANA without changing upgrading the software. You can surely do so.
Based on the current version of APO and Oracle, you need to check PAM for the details on compatible target versions of HANA.
Using Hana database, you can have integrated Livecache too i.e. no separate MaxDB for Live cache is required. Read more 2593571 - FAQ: SAP HANA Integrated liveCache
