Subcontracting in IBP

Greetings Experts

I am attempting to model multiple subcontractors in the IBP S&OP and Inventory combination. Is there a standard feature for this? If not, may I request a few ideas on how to go about modelling this?

I understand that the subcontractors will be maintained in the Location master data. The issue I face is that the client has no in-house production or assembly meaning that everything is done at the subcontractor and then the final product is what the client receives. The client then distributes these downstream. What are my work arounds?

Absolutely any ideas or suggestions are welcome.

Hi,

Material subcontracting process is not supported in IBP application (time series heuristic) as a standard feature.

It is possible to adjust the quantities in order based planning purchase receipts. Refer to SAP documentation below.

Adjusting Quantities

The best way to handle in SAP ECC or S/4HANA creating the MRP Area as a Subcontractor and model the business process. Please refer to following blog.
