Hi Sreeni
Case1 : PIR =100, Planned Order =100, Sales Order =50
Result : Incoming Sales Order (50 Qty), will reduce the PIR Qty by 50 , so remaining PIR will be 50
Please take a look of the attached screenshot for the same , before the Sales Order & after the Sales Orde
Case 2 : PIR =100, Planned Order =100, Sales Order =100
Result : Incoming Sales Order (100 Qty), will reduce the PIR Qty by 100, so remaining PIR Qty =0 (Zero) ( No PIR)
Please take a look of the attached screenshot of this case, before and after the Sales Order
Case 3 : PIR =100, Planned Order =100, Sales Order =150
Result : Incoming Sales Order (150 Qty), will reduce the PIR Qty by 100, for the reaminaing Short qty(50), System will create the additional planned Order of 50QTY, in the next MRP Run
After the MRP Run : System created the Additioanl Planned Order for 50 Qty ( Take a look of the attached screenshot, as the Result of MRP Rn)
Keep it mind : Reduction takes place , based on the Consumption Mode & Consumption Periods mainatined for the Header Material ( You can check in MRP-3 view of the Material master, if not, check you config settings)
Also, if there is stock available, system will consider the existing Stock, in case of Strategy 40
Hope this very Clear, let me know, if you still have any question, in this reagrd
