Hi experts,

Reading the SAP HELP regarding to which kinds of inventory in S4 can be transferred to IBP, some questions come to me.

First, what are the meanings of “Planning relevant” and “Not planning relevant”? Does the former mean that the stock type can be transferred easily without customizing in S4 and does the latter mean that the stock type, on the other hand, cannot be transferred? If my assumption is wrong, let me know the true meaning, plz.

Second, if a stock classified as “quality-inspection warehouse stock” is transferred from S4 to IBP, do I need to newly make a KF that represents the quantity of the stock as I did not see any KFs that can be relevant to such KF as long as I check IBP best practice?

Warm Regards,

Kenta Kono

the planning relevancy sets a flag on the /ibp/order_ext or stock_ext table..This is used by SDI/CPI-DS extraction. I cannot recall the best practice template for CPI-DS. but for SDI response the flag is used to set which demands for example impact requirement calculation or which stock elements have usable stock . I think the remark for "...Based on Customizing" refers to the ECC system's customizing. For example stock in non-relevant storloc is flagged as non-relevant in ECC customizing the extraction will follow that logic.

I would advise you keep your Integration-add ons up to date with latest SP there are numerous notes on customizing settings not reflecting properly on the planning relevant flag during extraction
