Stock type in PSA - Advanced Production Integration

Hi experts,

I have a stock type F2 in my PSA which is a part of AFS storage location. I am just wondering what is a good approach? what should be the most desirable stock type for PSA, would it be P2 or F2 is also fine? Any suggestion?

Hello Zaheer,

It depends on organizational set up, if business runs with 2 separate storage location, F2 and P2 is advisable, also for better stock availability, correct ATP and batch determination, 2 separate sloc between warehouse and PSA is advisable.

One storage location , one Stock type is also capable to work with production integration, even SAP document of Advanced Production Integration has used one stock type F2 both for Whse & PSA.

However, if you use 2 stock type, F2,P2 you will be required to work with stock determination during consumption.

Hi Shailesh ji,

I maintained stock determination group in component product master , but 311 movement type is not hapenning.
