Stock Type Determination for Expected Goods Receipt

Hello,

when I create a purchase order I can set a stock type under the delivery tab like so (Freely available/Quality Inspection/Blocked):

When I create the EGR for this purchase order, this stock type is translated into the Stock Type Q4 in the EWM-System:

I would like to change this to Stock Type Q3 but I can't find any way to customize this - please help.

Hi Tim,

Q3/Q4 are usually different storage locations. So check your LGORT (storage location) in the Purchase order.

Hi Daniil,

this is the only EWM-managed storage location. What I need to find out is how the specific stock type "Quality Inspection" in the ERP-System is mapped to stock type Q4 in the EWM-System.

Q4 belongs to the availability group 002 and what I want is the stock to be in availability group 001 from the start (without making the whole storage typ 001).

Hi Tim,

This mapping has two steps.

1. Plant + Storage location => Availability group

You can find it in IMG

Extended Warehouse Management
Interfaces
ERP Integration
Goods Movements
Map Storage Locations from ERP System to EWM

Second is Stock qualification + Availability group => Stock type

You can find it in IMG

Extended Warehouse Management
Goods Receipt Process
Configure Availability Group for Putaway, and here choose Configure Stock Type

thank you, the second step is what I was originally looking for!

Nontheless you were right the first time, I forgot that the availability group is not set by the storage type, but by the storage location.

Hi,

what Daniil wrote is the correct answer. It all depends on your storage location in the PO. The plant and storage location is connected to an availability group. The availability group and the location-independent stock type (in your case QQ) is assigned to a EWM stock type. So you need to check these customizing tables.

Hi Juergen,

thank you for the clarification. What I was searching for was the customizing for the location-independent stock type. However I forgot that the availability group is decided based on the Plant/Storage Location and not the Storage Type (as Daniil correctly pointed out).
