Stock Building using the Heuristic

Hi Experts

we have a requirement where there is a period of higher demand in the future. Supply is unable to meet demand within that period and we need to build stock much earlier in the year to cater for the demand. Using the IBP heuristic, how can one achieve this stock build?

HI Ebrahim,

Since IBP heuristic is an unconstrained algorithm, it will not suggest stock prebuild. Optimizer can be setup to prebuild. You can try out KF calculations to populate custom KFs in case Supply<Demand for future buckets, but RCCP heuristics will not serve your requirement.
