Staging bay not assigned to ODO or WT when door assigned to TU

Dear SAP Experts,

We are trying to implement the following scenario:

Our plant has a massive warehouse with 60 doors. We have defined Staging area as D storage type (IMPR) and the different staging bays as st.sections IM01, IM02... then inside every staging section, we need 3 bins. This is the preparation area where the goods are taken from warehouse before the truck arrives and then from here to truck (TU). We have no TM management or yard management.

We also have defined the Doors st type F (IMUE) and created their bins (02ME01, 02ME02...)

We have assigned the staging areas to the doors:

We have maintained /SCWM/DOOR_SCU

/SCWM/STADET_OUT

/SCWM/STADET_A s s

We create the TU, assign the ODO to it. assign door IM11 and activate the TU (not the door because the preparation is done 24h prior to the truck arriving)

When creating the WT from the ODO, the staging bay is not determined:

And, although the WT "points" to IMPR as per POSC, the bin selected is the 1st one available based on bin search and not forced to the bin assigned to the door.

Can you please help us understand this behavior?

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards

Iris Ladera

/scwm/stadet_ass is missing an entry. You should have warehouse process type and door detr group as well.

I have maintained that entry, tried the process again from Sales order, and still no luck.

Can you maintain the door determination group in the material - /scwm/mat1

Ok it worked but, our products do not have a fixed door to ship from so I cannot maintain that field at product level. Any other suggestions?

Your question was on why was the system assigning a different bin than defined. The answer is the Staging Area/ Door Determination Group is derived from Product master and isn't the doors you defined or select.

Ok, so finally i have created a unique Staging area determination indicator for all the staging areas and it worked!! thank you very much for your help!

You can try to assign the staging area/door determination group to the door. SPRO: assign staging area door determination group.
