Hello experts,
I assigned one Freight unit to a Freight Order. The Freight Unit contains one position containing two products. The customer would like add two packages to the Freight Order and fill each of the two packages with one of the two products.
Is it possible to split the position of the Freight Unit to then drag&drop the individual products into the individual packages? Currently it seems like only a position as a whole (quantity=2) can be moved into a single package.
Kind regards,
Tim

Hi Tim,
I have the same error when we try to split a Freight Unit. "Internal error;freight unit building failed"
Do you solve it?

Hi Tim,
You can split FU manually as I mentioned or automatically in the Freight Unit Building Rule Example you have one SO with 1000 kg but you need each FU with 100kg, them you set up it in the FURB once it integrated in TM will split.
Check if all the customizing you have set up are according: Creation and Editing of Freight Units | SAP Help Portal
A possible for split in this note 2382853 - "...item type does not allow splitting" in FU from ERP Order in SAP TM - SAP ONE Support L...

Hola Rogerio,
¿Es posible dividir una FU usando la herramienta ASR?
Estamos utilizando la aplicación 'Cargar o descargar órdenes de flecha' y lo que hacemos es:
1. Fijar en carga finalizada uno de los 2 bultos de la FO
2. Fijar 'Parar en carga finalizada'
Resultado: no divide la FU.
Gracias y saludos 🙂

Also try to open the last message "Action has not ......" and check the values there for the error which filed was validated.
remove the FU from the FO them split it, check if give error.

Thanks for the info. How do you proceed after the second screenshot you posted to make the split?
Would I first need to create a new Freight Unit or would a split create a new Freight Unit? Right now the few configurations I tested resulted in the following error:
I'm not sure about the settings in the screenshot, but different variations had the same error.
Hi Tim,
Ho do you are packing it?
If you are using Handling Unit, it will populate automatically in the FU/FO each product with a packing material, and you don't need to split the FU only in case some of that product should not be planning in same FO.
If you want to do it manually you can split the FU each one for a single material them plan it in the FO and insert it FU into a packing material in FO.

Hi Rogerio,
thanks for the reply. I'm trying to manually split the FU. Here's a simple Freight Order as an example :
I would like to split the Freight Unit between the two packages. I'm guessing the Button "Split Freight Unit" would allow me to do that. However, that button isn't available/allowed in this case. Do I need to make adjustements in the systems and what would those be?
