SOST-Messages marked Low priority reaching late in Outlook

Hello ,

I have a question regarding emails sent out from SOST to outlook. When some document status changes, we have a setting such that a work item and an informational email would be sent to different people to perform or just as a information message.We can see that in SOST that emails were sent. But the problem is , what we have in work item reaches immediately but what goes out as informational message reaches late like after some 8-10 hours in the outlook. One thing which distinguishes work item and information is priority. Work item is marked as low priority and information is marked as low priority ( by coding ). But I see it is sent in SOST.

What makes the email reach late ? Is it marking of Info emails as Low priority or anything else ? When I send email form outlook to outlook with low priority it still reaches fast. Why not from SAP to outlook ? How to make info mails also to be received at same time ?

Appreciate if someone can help providing details.
