SOP or LTP in order to improve work center usage.

Hello guys,

Help me with the undestanding of SOP and LTP and the applying of them in my case scnario:

The only difference between SOP and LTP is just that in SOP I can use data from COPA/ Forecast/Actual Sales/Sales histroy and in LTP I can't import this kind of data, but both SOP and LTP is a simulative scenario where I can transfer to operative in form of PIR.

I asked because I am facing the situation where we have to plan some scenarios where we have to improve the use of our workcenters, because we work with differents products and we start our production occordely with the requerimests of our clients to plan our PIR weekely/monthlly but sometimes some clients change theirs orders or quit, resulting in a waste of time with activites like setup, teardown times of our work centers.

I am thinking in use SOP in order to try better our plan and consequently improve the use of our workcenter, trying to making some scenarios in case some client change theirs orders, improving the use of our workcenters and avoiding the waste of time with setup, teardown, etc.

Is really SOP the best tool to be used here to try to improve the use of our workcenters or you guys have another tip to help me?
