SOP Heuristic SQL Error

Hi all,

I am trying to run the SOP Heuristic in a duplicate planning area (of the SAP4 sample planning area) and I am getting some errors when I run it. It has worked in the past and I haven't made any major changes to the master data tables. I was wondering if anyone knows what this error is referring too or usually what triggers this error so I could dig deeper in that area. I have attached a screenshot of the report below:

Thanks!

Hi Derrick,

I am also experiencing issues with a SAP4 copy and the supply planning. The run works for me, but e.g. I am not able to enter new values for key figures "Stock on-hand" or "Additional Inventory Target" - whenever I want to enter new values here and try to save them, I receive error notification "An unexpected error occurred."

Could you please check if you are able to enter values for these key figures?

Regarding your specific problem, please try to reactivate your planning area. If you receive an error while doing so (even if the area is currently activated!), I might be able to help out as I experienced a similar problem a few weeks ago...

Derrick, in your case, please look at the master data table called Location Source.

Here we define the sourcing ratios lets say from Plant to DC or from Supplier to Plant.

In your case the ratios for SUP2 and SUP1 and PL1 are not specified.

Hi Holger,

I am able to make changes to "Stock-on Hand" (InitialInventory) and "Additional Inventory Target" (Inventorytargetadd). I am not seeing those issues. I re-activated my planning area but it did not fix the issue.

Thanks for your help though! I appreciate it!

So for my example, PL1 & SUP1, SUP2 are at the end of the line (or the beginning of the supply chain. I actually set a production source for  them and now my error looks like this:

So that warning is now resolved. This error seems to start as soon as the SCM planning begins.

Hi Derrick

Did you re-activated planning area including master data type? If yes and still you are getting this error, I will recommend to raise OSS Message.

Yes I did reactivate the planning area. It was actually a non-sync in character values for an attribute and it's referenced attribute. LOCDESCR had a limit of 40 characters but LOCDESCRTO & FR had a limit of 20. My Description had 23 so it passed LOCDESCR but not LOCDESCRTO & FR.
