Hello,
I am trying to cancel a material document which got created by by a co-product in a production order. When I try to cancel the document via MIGO I get the error message "Batch free for use doesn't have enough quantity in...".
I checked the ERP Stockcheck + MMBE and everything looks fine and is where it is supposed to be. The batch and material is available and the quantity is enough as well.
What I suspect to be the problem is the booking period. When I check the stock in the last booking period, there is not enough quantity and I think my batch might be missing cause it was at another storage location back then.
How can I fix that problem? Now the stock is back in the plant where the system tries to get it from.
Thanks for your help.
Hi Jan,
maybe these two points can help you:
1. Batch Status Management is active
are you using the Batch Status Management in your System ? Maybe the Batch Status "not free" is set in the masterdata of the batch.
2. I had the same issue when i try to change batch requirement with stock in different booking periods. These Note helps me: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/30656/E
Check whether stocks still exist for the previous period by displaying; for example, the plant stock view or storage location stock view of the material. You do this by selecting "Extras -> Previous period -> Prev. pd SLoc. stock or Prev. pd plant stock".
If previous period stocks exist, you can make a withdrawal posting as follows:
You can now try to change the base unit of measure or the batch management requirement indicator again.
Since the posting of the previous period values to zero is identical with posting to the stocks of the current period, you should reverse the above stock postings (that is, the stock from the previous period should be booked in again) to make sure that the stock values from the previous and the current periods correspond to the state before the change. However, note that the postings are then carried out using the changed master data from the current period (for example, account determination and so on).
Hope this helps a little bit.
Cheers
Jan
