SNP Optimizer - weekly bucket problem

Hello Gurus,

We do have the following issue with the SNP Optimizer for our client. The weekly bucket is being used.

It works well for the future weeks, but there is a requirement from the business to run the SNP Optimizer for example on Wednesday for the current week, so they will be able to see what the system suggests (as an optimal plan) for the rest of the current week. Daily bucket is not an option, so it seems like the weekly bucket has to be extended / modified.

For now, when the SNP Optimizer is being launched on Wednesday for the current week - nothing happens.

Does any of you had similar issues? Your efforts and answers would be really appreciated...

Hello,

SNP optimizer does not propose planned orders or purchase requisitions for the first bucket, This the standard behavior to avoid order creation in the past.

Please refer SAP KBA 2440098 - How to run SNP optimizer for actual bucket?

Assign parameter PROCESSINGDATE in transaction RCC_PARAM. The processing date is normally filled with "today" and passed to the optimizer engine. In the engine it is decided by this date which bucket is partly in the past and excluded from processing.
