SNP Optimizer: Duration of PPM/PDS is too long

Hi All,

i faced with error in SNP optimizer, it shows me a message "Duration of PPM/PDS &1 is too long".

I have planning book with daily buckets, SNP PDS has duration for 1 day.

If plan in planning book with week buckets all is ok.

Any ideas how to solve this issue.

i use resource with standard 24x7 hours with active "Cross-period activity" and "Sequence-Dependent lot size".

Did you check the work center horizon? Must to be equal with SNP planning book horizon!

Hi Alexander,

This is about the PDS uses a resource for sequence-dependent lot-size planning, and the gross duration exceeds the length of period. 

Please check the time bucket profile used in your SNP Optimizer, and use a time bucket profile with longer periods, so that the PDS can be scheduled without being cross-period.

But how Optimizer define bucket profile. As i understand it takes profile from planning book.

And now i have bucket for planning book 365 days and PDS duration for 1 day.
