SNP Heuristics issue

Hi Gurus, we have an issue in SNP heuristics run especially during the new product introduction. we would like to have the customer demand placed only from a specific month of the year not before..i.e. for example the planned production is June and we would like the customer demands placed only from march(considering the lead time)..

for our situation, stopping the forecast release from DP before march months not possible(based on the system setup) and we are not allowed to delete the customer demand either..we already tried the stock transfer horizon and PTF updates..but looking for a better solution..

Is there a way we could freeze the months before march so that no forecast can be populated..

Hi Brahmankar, Thanks for your reply.

The problem with the forecast horizon is we need to change it every week /month until march(just to stop the auto rolling)..and there are many customers and SKUs, as a workaround we had this earlier.

As mentioned in my query stopping the forecast release from DP before march months not possible.

Can we use the calendars in any way to solve this?

Hello,

You can use the Forecast Horizon from SNP2 tab, in this horizon the forecast is not considered as part of the total demand.

Or you can use the BAdi /SAPAPO/SDP_RELDATA Modification of Data During Release from DP to SNP with your own logic you can restrict the forecast release month before march.
