SMQ2 Error : Advanced production integration > Cross order staging with batch managed material

Hi Experts,

I am getting error "SMQ2 - Status type Staging Production (DMS) required for single-order staging".

In my process order I have 2 items (mapped to Cross-order product group in /SAPAPO/MAT1), I have assigned the batch while creating a process order but as soon as I trigger staging, queue is getting stuck. Any clue if I have missed anything?

Wouldn't be system automatically take the material as single order staging? as I have mentioned the batch?

The root cause was described correctly by Cristiano. I ran into this issue before, too.

So what's your situation in /SCWM/PSASTAGE? Do you have single-order and cross-order staging for the same product (group), but different PSAs? Then the "clean" solution with different item types based on the product group does not match your scenario and you will either need an enhancement (on ERP side or EWM inbound) or use the same item type for both cross-order and single-order staging.

If you go with the latter, the most flexible solution to this is to activate DMP and DMS statuses in the status profile of PCCO items. You should not do this directly in the standard status profile, but use a customer-specific item type (copy of PCCO) as well as a customer-specific status profile for this. Then all items will be created as PCCO (cross-order), which can be confusing when reviewing the PMR. You will then be able to switch the staging method quite dynamically based only on the configuration in /SCWM/PSASTAGE. Don't forget to maintain WPT determination for the item type as the single-order WPT, the cross-order staging WPT will be determined by /SCWM/PSASTAGE only. Really not ideal, but works.

Hi guys

Thanks for the quick feedback .
Just to be clear ,i have 2 different product groups

1. single order which is mapped to bin-1 in PSA

2. Cross order which is mapped to bin-2 in PSA

and the materials I used above are mapped to Cross-order in SAPAPO/MAT1 . So according to documentation if I specify the batch in process order system should automatically take cross order to a single order staging ? Am I correct ?

Hello Hamza,

This is because from ERP you distribute cross order stage relevant items that are mapped to PCCO item types. This item type contains different status types and QTY roles than the single order staging relevant item.
Because of you have setup in /SCWM/PSASTAGE the single order stage relevance, the System tries to find the DMS, DMP status types and QTY Roles W6, STP in the item data.
Because it cannot be found - because they are not active for cross order staging item type PCCO-, errors are raised.
You can either send single order stage relevant items from ERP or configure cross order staging method in the /SCWM/PSASTAGE.

Regards,
Cris

Hi ,

thanks for the Quick response, at SCWM/PSASTAGE i have configured crocs order as well as single order . Just for my understanding the system should take cross order ( with batch information ) as a single order staging ? What I have to change at SCWM/PSASTAGE?
