Setup group change during Planned order to Production order conversion.

In our current process, we utilize the generated setup matrix in Manufacturing, Planning, and Scheduling (MP&S) to determine the desired setup group for a particular order. To achieve this, we've implemented a "generate setup group" Business Add-In (BADI). However, what we observed that the setup group determined in the planned order is automatically carried over into the production order.

Question: Given this situation, is there a known method or solution to address this challenge and modify the setup group information for the production order when converting the planned order in the product view or detailed scheduling planning board?

Just to add further we are determining the setup group based on the PDS information and one of the value that we are reading is component which is determined from the ECC and we would like to read the latest information on the production order to generate setup group.
