Sequence Type of Stages in Freight Order

Hi all,

We are implementing S/4 HANA embedded TM solution with basic shipping license. During configuration "Sequence type of stages" in Freight Order customizing and we have several question.

We planning FUs into Freight Orders manually, and we can configurate:

• Star-Shaped Based on FU Stages --> the stages have the same start location but different end locations
• Star-Shaped Based on FU Stages (Reversed) --> the stages have the same end location but different start locations

But, If we have differents FUs with differents start and end location, how we can configurate it?

In case you have multiple source and destination locations in your Freight Order, you can also select the Linear Stage sequence in Freight Order Type customizing.

Example:

A > B
B > C
A > C

Your stages in Freight Order with Linear stage sequence will be:

A > B
B > C

Depending on how you are doing charge calculation this can be an option.

Hi Criellaard,

It´s possible configure the Freight Order to have the same stages as the Freight Unit?.

Example:

FU1: A >B

FU2: C>D

FU3: E>F

I want the stages in the Freight Order to be like this:

A >B

C>D

E>F

I try to configure the sequence types stages 03 Disconnected but we have many problems.

Hello,

In case of Star-Shaped Based on FU Stages --> the stages have the same start location but different end locations in embedded S4 Hana 1909, when I calcutae the charges, it alwys takes the charges based on linear stages(resolution base as STAGE) or it calcuate the charge for the whole tour when the resolution base is blank or root in the calculation sheet.

Can you please suggest any pointer to this how to resolve.

I have one question regarding the Start-Shaped Based stages in case of DSO (Direct Shipment Option for parcel shipment).

I have configured DSO master data and configuration with DSO result rule - > Assign to Freight Order and Strategy as DSO_DEF

For example -

1. First FU - > Plant to Customer ZCUST_PAR , Second FU --> Plant to Customer ZCUST_BOR( Both picking date and delivery dates are matching and carrier selection as well. ) . Both locations are part of Intrazone which includes source location as well.
After DSO batch report it creates one Freight order (Star Shaped Stage) with two stages having same source location. CArrier also determined correctly.

However, I have question. By looking at below stages sequence, it seems that there will be two trips by carrier from one source location, instead it should be.
stage 1 SP_ZVS5 to ZCUST_PAR and
stage 2 from ZCUST_PAR to ZCUST_BOR (Multi drop kind of scenario)

Or is it standard star shaped freight order behaviour?

Hi Carlos,

Disconnected Stage sequence is only supported for Document Creation Relevance F. You can find the Document Creation Relevance in the FO Type customizing. Type F is: Freight Order created from ERP Shipment.
