...one more issue with our QI process for EWM embedded in S/4.
We are using a sample based QI process. E.g. only 1% of the inbound delivery item quantity has to be inspected.
With QIE in EWM that was no issue. We could assign a 'resulting argument' with procedure type as 'sampling inspection' to the inspection rule. Based on this we would later get a seperate element within our inspection document. Also the HU with the sample would have a separate HU item with the sample quantity.
So e.g. in a process with 2 HUs each having qty and total sample quantity is 1, only one of the HUs is needed at the QI work center. Standard identifies this based on the rule-based flag in QI step in POSC so only the one HU was relevant for the QI step of the POSC.
Now with EWM embedded in S/4 the option of creating a 'resulting argument' is not given any more. I tried with percentage based sampling rule. The calculation is correct. My QM inspection lot is showing the correct sample size but in EWM all HUs get the QI POSC step and all are being sent to the QI work center. E.g. scenario above with 2 HUs of qty 10 and sample size of qty 1 but both HUs are being relevant for the QI step.
Any idea how to achieve that only so much HUs are being sent that the sample size is covered?
Thanks in advance for your inputs!

Request clarification before answering.
You need to send it to a Decon Step and also need to use the BADI for this

Hello Hendrik,
I'm working in 1809 embedded EWM at the moment and the function is still not here.
Even in 1909, it is still not present yet.
The problem is because in embedded EWM, there is no QIE, and we have to use S/4HANA QM to handle quality inspection.
The integration between EWM and QM prevents the sample separation from being realized. This applies to decentralized EWM as well.
At the moment, the solution from SAP and myself would be to move all stock to the destination bin in the warehouse, and then manually create WT to move samples to the quality work center. It can be quite beneficial since the number of trip to the work center can be reduced if the operation is planned well.

Hi Hendrik
Have you found something on this requirement? I think this function is still not available in 1909 Embedded EWM. I have the same scenario. Please let me know. Thanks

..just to give you an update on this topic:
found this hint in note 2494704:
"The following Quality Management functions and processes are not supported yet:
Automatically separating sample stock from inspection lot stock and moving sample stock to a
quality work center for inspection."
So this is basically the reason for my scenario not working today.
Can anybody tell me whether there is any plan from SAP side to include it in the 1809 upgrade?
Thanks
Hendrik
