The reference rate for SAP translation is always cumulative, and purposely so.

Can you please explain the rationale for wanting it to be periodic? Or what you are trying to accomplish? There will likely be alternative solutions.

Hello Dan,

I wanted to ask you a different question. I wanted to send you a private message, but system wouldn't let me do that as we are not directly connected. Thank you for your response. Can you please check the following thread and share your thoughts?

Hello Dan,

Unfortunate, I thought that the reference rate for SAP translation is always cumulative.

It's not the legal consolidation process.

I will add the new process : cash process

The business rules is to translate the periodic base.

See screenshot above, all  cash item is translated with periodic base

I m really interested to know the alternative solution

SAP translation in ECCS and BCS must always have a reference rate, which is cumulative.
The translation first translates everything based on the reference rate, then subsequently at the specific rate. The difference between the two values is what is posted as the difference item which is typically CTA item (Currency Translation Adjustment).

I hope this helps, but if not we'll try again with additional follow up questions.
