/SCWM/RWEIGHT_VOLUME_UPDATE in Public Edition

Hi all,

We are getting dump, ASSERTION_FAILED when confirming Warehouse tasks. This is in our Test system but we also received it in our Customizing system.

I have found the same issue in on-prem/private cloud through OSS notes to run SE38 /SCWM/RWEIGHT_VOLUME_UPDATE. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem available in Public.

The specific line of code failing seems to be related to weight. We have not adjusted weight since initial upload.

IF ls_capa-weight IS NOT INITIAL.
ASSERT <dlagp>-unit_w = ls_capa-unit_w.

Has anyone faced this issue?

Dear Colleague,

We have somehow located the root cause of the issue. Unfortunately the sequence of your setup is wrong and the system does not block this. The storage bin migration is done before the "Define Warehouse Attributes" (either transported or manually maintained). This causes the storage bin does not have the unit information and thus causes the issue. I think your productive environment has not been setup and please make sure the correct sequence is followed.

We are testing internally if we can use the existing report to correct this. I will update here.

Kind Regards,

Clark

Hi Clark, You are correct. We found the same root cause. It appears we loaded our bins before the warehouse attributes were transported to the Test system. Our Productive system has not yet been issued and will ensure the correct sequence is followed for this load. If the correction report does not work, we can the re-load data. Thank you for your time.

Hi mconstanzo, great that our findings are same. Now if you create new storage bins, the issue will not happen. The reload data maybe a bit cumbersome as you already have WTs and stock. You need to cancel them first. Please share with me if you encounter some issues. Thank you.

Yes this is the case that if we create new bins, they are correct. Please share your findings regarding the existing correction report when available.

Hi mconstanzo, we need a customer case to be able to logon to your system to do the correction. Could you help create one? You can mention my name Clark Min in the case.
