Dear all,
Which scanner transactions offers SAP Fiori for the Warehouse Management?
Which possibilties or Apps are there in SAP EWM?
In SAP ECC we used the LM-Transactions for the Warehouse, and it was systemguided / driven or user driven.
Thanks a lot.

Hello,
For Scanner transactions used to guide shopfloor workers in a warehouse through their tasks SAP EWM offers out-of-the box transactions build using the Radio Frequency Framework. These are transaction build on the ABAP Dynpro technology. There are two ways to get out of the ABAP Dynpros an HTML based user interface displayed on the scanning end device.
a) ITSmobile (available since the first release of SAP EWM)
b) RF with SAP GUI for HTML (more modern, Fiori look & feel, available since S/4HANA 2021, see SAP note 3048632).
SAP EWM offers Fiori Apps for the warehouse operative role (shopfloor) like
In order to build custom specific own Fiori Apps SAP EWM offers APIs in the SAP API Hub.
Best regards,
Matthias

Hello,
Unfortunately, you will still be living in year 2001 in this area after going to S4 and EWM. From a UI perspective, the "RF Framework" is exactly the same as the "LM Transactions" but there is more flexibility/functionality/complexity/configurability behind the scenes.
SAP encourages you to use "Screen Personas" to put some make up on these screens and even though Personas is a great tool it can not perform magic and does not solve the biggest problems in RF (responsiveness, working from "lists" and an overall outdated interface) and I have also found a bugs in combination with RF (fields "stuck", dumps when editing etc.).
Please note that "Fiori Apps" (UI5) for EWM does not support "Mobile device" (Phone) by standard setting because it is not an interface adapted to a small screen and most of all (your question) it is not an interface built for "scanning". It is apps built for PC/Tablet (big screen) where you push buttons to perform actions, not scan.
So, if you want to take a step into 2020's you will probably have to develop everything and use the API's that exists for EWM. This is however a big undertaking but somehow - that is where we are...
SAP recently released a document describing their view on "Mobility in EWM" and it basically says "RF for mobile, Apps for PC/Tablet (not scanning) or build yourself." Digital Library (sap.com)
