SAP WM Automatically Block stock when confirming TO in storage type

Hi,

I have a user who tells me that previously when he moved stock to a particular storage type it would be automatically blocked, as in 'S' block. Using 4.6c WM.

I can see in config for LE -> Master Data -> storage type, a setting for blocking either bin or quant on putaway (Block stock upon placement) but this has not been switched on in the past so could never have worked. Is there another way to make a posting change in the background when performing a 999 internal movt. to a storage type? Any advice appreciated.

It can not be posted you need to unblock first. What I understood

if it is EWM you can set blocked stock (BB in standard) in Storage type customizing.
