SAP TM FU splitting

Hi ,

Freight unit is splitting based on ERP transportation group in master data.

when we maintained same transportation group two different material FU is not splitting , when we maintain two different material with two transportation group then FU is splitting , we didnt maintain incompatibility settings in FUBR. kindly help to understand based on which logic it was spliting ?

SO Schedule line qty is only one , this is not capacity related issue that is splitting

we tried maintaining transportation group in ECC and TM different values but still FU is splitting irrespective to FUBR split qty option.

Can you please clarify your scenario? I am not clear.

In ECC, you maintained one transportation group with two different materials. Your expectation is that in TM, the FU would split based on the two different materials. However, it is not splitting.

If you maintain two different transportation groups with two different materials, then it is splitting.

Is this understanding correct?

Dear Chary,

If it is 2 different products I suppose you get 2 different item lines in your OTR/DTR. Dependent on the settings in the FUBR your will get 1 or 2 FU's. If your Freight Unit Building Strategy is "Consolidate as much as possble" 2 items might be converted in 1 FU, but if your Freight Unit Building strategy is "Consolidate per item" you will get 2 diffent FU's. Subsequently you can set incompatibilities for different transportation groups to prevent that they are loaded together.
