Hi TM experts,
I'm starting to configure in SAP TM embedded 1909 and I am not sure about this customizing point, and If is still mandatory for TM. If the answer is yes, Which one will be the configuration point in TM?
SPRO -> IMG –> Enterprise Structure –> Definition –> Logistics Execution –> Maintain Transportation Planning Point.
Thanks!
Mariana
Hello mcaratti
The short answer is - no, you don't need to create a transportation planning point for embedded TM.
Background - TM doesn't use ERP organizational structures, including transportation planning points. Instead, TM uses HR organization, transaction PPOME.
TM configuration sits mainly under Transportation Management SPRO node.

That's the part that I didn't find or I am not sure, that unit in ECC is replaced for some structure in the PPOME? It's using profiles or employees to my planning structure?
I have a configuration that only includes Purchase Org.Unit (because this is the only scenario I need).
Thanks again..
mcaratti There are no 1:1 equivalents of ERP org. structures in TM. TM is organized differently - see Organizational Management
Hello,
Shipping point is need for LE ( Inbound.Outbound delivery etc) which is the start point for mapping with TM.
Check this oss note, give the master guide for each scenario you're building.
By following the instructions of the following notes you will be able to run SAP Best Practices for S/4HANA Supply Chain for Transportation Management in 1909.

The question is about transportation planning point, not about shipping point!
