SAP S/4HANA with embedded EWM and production integration

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

I have an issue with SAP S/4HANA and embedded EWM with production integration. I customized the relevant settings in the system, e.g. production supply area and control cycle for staging. I also created some production orders and used transaction COOIS for carrying out of the WM staging. After this process I assumed that the document was distributed to EWM. When I looked into the transaction /SCWM/PMR, I recognized that no document arrived in the EWM system.

Therefore I looked into the inbound queue SMQ2 and found out that something stuck in the queue. There is the message "No unique partner found for plant xy". Because of this I looked into the business partner settings because I read that there could be a problem with the business partner "plant". At the beginning I created a plant as organization with the business partner role BBP003 and with the ID type CRM011, identification number SC01 (ERP-plant) and the logical system of the ERP-system.

Does anybody know what's missing here respective what i have to do to process the document into the EWM?

Thank you and best regards

Jan

...have you checked which reference document profile is assigned to your document type? It might be a different one.

Also did you recreate the PMR after the customizing change? Some data might already be saved in DB and customizing change would not have any effect.

Hi Hendrik,

thank you for your answer. I had a look into the document types for production and found out that there was no reference document profile maintained. After I maintained it and refreshed the document in the transaction /SCWM/PMR, the status became green.

Best regards

Jan

Hi Jan,

Go to BP transaction code, choose display BP role as vendor, choose vendor general data tab (Additional general data) you will find an option as plant which needs to maintained. Please check if it is maintained or not.

Hi Santhosh,

thank you for your message.

The error occured in EWM; the status of the document in transaction /SCWM/PMR is red:

I looked into the reference document categories and found out that the entry /SCWM/PWR wasn`t there; I inserted the entry and added /SCWM/PWR as system profile too, but the document is still in red status (the same error):

HI Jan,

Is queue got stuck stating that Reference document category (PPO) is not valid?. If that is the error, please check the below configuration.

SPRO-IMG- SCM Extended warehouse Management-Extended Warehouse Management-Cross-Process Settings-Delivery - Warehouse Request-Reference Documents-Define Reference Document Type Profiles-Choose customer profile as /SCWM/PWR and double click on Reference document category PPO. It should be in active status. (If there is tick mark, please remove it).

Regards

Santhosh.

Hi Juergen,

thank you for your message. I deleded the settings and now the document went through the queue.

Unfortunately I have another problem now. After I checked transaction /SCWM/PMR I found out that there is a problem with the reference document type PPO; it's not valid. PPO is a manufacturing order.

I created a manufacturing order with order type manufacturing order standard (PP01). After I did the staging and after I corrected the settings, the document passed the queue and came into the EWM.

In EWM, the transaction /SCWM/PMR looks as follows:

I don’t know what’s the resaon of this. Perhaps I have to look into the definition of the reference document type profiles?

Thank you and best regards

Jan

Hi,

"At the beginning I created a plant as organization with the business partner role BBP003 and with the ID type CRM011, identification number SC01 (ERP-plant) and the logical system of the ERP-system."

That is wrong, you don't do that in an embedded EWM. Actually, there should not even be a ID type CRM011.

Please check the implementation guides for embedded EWM for the proper integration settings.

Juergen

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
