SAP S/4 hana 1909 Cloud Ex upgrade supports SMP or SCP for Work Manager application?

Hi All,

The current implementation of the SAP Work Manager 6.4 version is running in the SMP 3.0 server with S/4 Hana 1909 on-premise backend system.We are upgrading to S/4 Hana 1909 Cloud Ex SAP backend system.

Please confirm if the upgrade to S/4 Hana 1909 Cloud Ex system would support the SAP Cloud Platform(SCP) with the WM6.4 version or the application must continue to run in the SMP server itself.

Hi Elavarasan,

S/4HANA Cloud, Extended Edition supports the use of SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Work Manager. The cloud connector is already included in the S/4HANA Cloud for Enterprise Management, Extended Edition subscription. Licences for SAP Work Manager and SAP Cloud Platform are not included.

Is it possible to have SAPWM on SMP connected to S/4HANA Cloud, Extended Edition?

(My query is more toward the Middleware server - SMP vs SCP Mobile Service)

If SMP can establish connection to S/4HANA Cloud, Does it require Cloud connector?
