Hello,
I have a business scenario for a process industry where they have a packing line with 2 package machines, they can run both lines independently so that they can packing two different SKUs at the same time.
The fact is that some SKUs are incompatible, then in order to avoid cross contamination I would like to plan my production considering only compatible SKUs manufacturing in parallel, do you know if PPDS can manage this kind of restrictions?M.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi R.Brahmanka, thank you for your answer and sorry my dalay in this feedback.
Unforntunly in this case the production line is the same, it meaning that we are talking about the same resource/workcenter.
Lets supose that I have 3 Finigeg Goods A,B and C
transition from A to B is allowd
transition from C to D is allowrd
transition from B to C is not allowrd
In this case I must to schedule the prodution in thsi sequencing A>C>D

Hello,
You can use the functionality of setup matrix, With automatic dispatching, the system looks for an optimal point for dispatching one operation after the other to the target work center. Once it finds the optimal time, it dispatches the operation there.
Please refer useful SAP help documents on it.

Hello,
Some SKUs are incompatible, I hope they will have different work center in this case.
You can create a pool capacity CR11 and then assign it to the resources/workcenters (i.e. in transaction CR01) that contain a pool capacity, next to the main capacity. When the system transfers these capacities into 'Advanced Planning', it creates two different resources.
Where pool capacity is assigned to resources then only one resource can be schedule at time.
Best Regards,
R.Brahmankar
