SAP MTO/ Reorder Point Issue

Hello SAP gurus,

We have a case where our Header Material works on the MTO strategy 20, and I require on of the BOM components to work on the Basis of Reorder Point Planning.

Essentially, the requirements from my header material should be satisfied with the free stock present in my component, and this component should generate a planned order only when the stock falls below the Reorder point.

Kindly request if you can help me out with the Strategy type, Mixed MRP, Ind./ Coll. Indicator and MRP Dep. Req. Settings to be maintained in the Material Master for the relevant BOM Component.

For the component, you should define the field Individual/Collective as 2, and leave the Strategy, Mixed MRP and MRP dependent requirements empty.

External requirements should also be made relevant for the reorder point type MRP. of the components

We have another query, in the current scenario for the component material we are unable to see the dependent requirements in stock req screen (MD04) after MRP run . Is there any way to get the dependent requirements displayed.

See my previous comment - you need to check setting for external requirements in your MRP type
