due to annual stock report to supplier X000000XX, we have found that quantity reported via EDI inventory report is different from quantity shown in our SAP (transaction MB5B). The concerned date is 31.12.2024. Material X000000XX(X000000XX). Quantity reported via EDI is 14 682 pcs and SAP shows 13 842 pcs. Both only report on Consignment stock, nothing else. Plant xxxx.
Quantity in IDOC on 31st dec is 14682.
And MB5B report with same date ha quantity 13842.
So difference of 840 quanity in IDOC and MB5B.

Why this is happening?
Which quantity should be correct?

I checked in the sysyem as there was only 2 material movement happened that too on 19.12.2024 and 3.1.2025.Then why IDOC is showing 840 more quantity.

Hi,

The MB5B quantity (13,842 pcs) is likely correct as it reflects SAP’s finalized postings. The EDI discrepancy likely arose from timing or filtering issues. You need to Run MB51 (Stock Movement List) for the material and date to verify all movements and Check for late postings (e.g., goods issues after the IDOC was sent).
