In our company, short term and long term Forecast and Planning is done by non-SAP System. We have a requirement that non SAP-System should interface planned Qty with Planned Delivery Date by Supplier/Order Release Date/Site and SAP should save this information and send to the suppliers via EDI 830 format. Goods Receipt and Invoice shouldn't happen against the planned order, the planned orders should get cancelled after the Order Release Date in SAP. Also, planning system can change the Qty until it reaches the Order Release Date. SAP should recognise these changes and retrigger the EDI 830 message to supplier with version no and change indicator against the line being changed.
I am thinking to implement following solution in SAP. May I request the experts to review and advise me if I am on the right direction? if not please provide the best solution? Also, is it possible to capture Version No and Change Indicator in this solution?
1. Create MM Scheduling Agreement (LP)
2. Generate Outbound IDOC DELFOR01
3. Map DELFOR01 to the EDI 830 Format.
