Hi Geeks,
Can one explain me what is SAP Live Cache and how to check on which database SAP Live cache runs?
Actually I'm supposed to do my SAP SCM db refresh but how can I do Live chace db data refresh. If possible can anyone send me documents please for SAP SCM and live cahce refresh
Request clarification before answering.
1. SCM uses live cache built on Maxdb.
2. To refresh data you need to restore the dB using sapdb studio.
3. Then you need to follow some post actions to make the dB available with required master user.
Search procedure on SMP.

Hello,
1.
To run the APO functionality on SCM system you need the liveCache server/
LCAPPS plug-ins installed & configured.
The SAP liveCache server technology is an object-based enhancement of the SAP MaxDB database and was developed to manage complex objects. The liveCache on SAP HANA is supported as well as of SCM 7.0 with Enhancement Package (EHP) 2 or later or S/4HANA with PP/DS application.
The SAP liveCachetechnology significantly increases the speed of the algorithmically complex, data-, and runtime-intensive functions of various SAP applications, especially within SAP Supply Chain Management. It combines the advantages of main memory-based data retention with a complete operating concept, including backup and recovery.
-- If you use HANA with the integrated liveCache (LCAPPS Plug-in), see SAP note
2074843 - Version Matrix for HANA integrated liveCaches
-- If you use SCM 7.0 with a MaxDB based liveCache, see SAP Note 2074842.
** You could use transaction /n/sapapo/om13 to review the versions on SAP SCM system.
2. For SAP SCM copy procedure-steps see SAP note:
