SAP Leonardo IOT - no action triggered in spite of rule condition being met

Hi everyone,

We have a few client IoT demos in the next few weeks and preparing for the same.

I have the basic set up of hardware using a Raspberry Pi - all configuration(device, sensors, capabilities all the way to binding these to a "Thing") has been completed. I can see the data in the "Data Visualization" tab in IoT cockpit as well as in the Thing in Leonardo IoT.

Before reading further, please note that we are missing SMTP configuration in Leonardo IoT and are in the process of completing that.

I was hoping to validate my rule and action configuration via the "simulator" as in the below URL:

https://<hostname>.hana.ondemand.com/cp.portal/site#ActionModeler-Actions?sap-ui-app-id-hint=sap.app...

Question 1 - If rule condition is met and the right action is configured as an "in app notification" will one still see a result in the simulator? I have configured the action as "In app" for now as I am unable to save an "email notification" action without SMTP configuration.

Question 2 - If the answer to above is yes, can someone help in identifying what is wrong with my configuration?

See attached for configuration screenshots:

1) Rule configuration with condition if pole_tilt of Pole_sensor_data is equal to 0. FYI - I can confirm that rule status is active.

2) Action has been configured to be triggered by "Event from rule" and as "In app notification". Valid email address has been provided.

3) Value of pole_tile in Pole_sensor_Data is indeed 0

4) Simulator.jpg - Showing NO notifications.

What is the error in my configuration? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Abhinav

All,

Not sure what happened, but for some reason the connectivity b/w thing and device was deleted. After restoring the connectivity, the action started working.
