SAP IBP variable bucket consumption data

Hello everybody,

I have the following question. Currently, I am maintaining variable bucket consumption for my finished good. In tr. code PDS_MAINT, I maintain for example a value 1H for the activities with activity type P (the relevant for IBP).

However, the /IBP/PRODUCTIONRESOURCE_ATTR extractor provides a value '3600' which is basically the value in seconds. You can see that also after running the report /IBP/ETS_REPL_TEST (screenshot attached). I have also tried to maintain a value as 60 MIN for the var. bucket consumption via PDS_MAINT instead of 1H, but the result was the same.

In S/4 my work center master data has UoM of standard value in MIN and in my recipe master data the operations are also measured in MIN.

The problem is that in IBP I receive the '3600' and it gets into non realistic results when calculation capacity utilization after supply planning for example.

Thank you very much in advance.

BR,

Julian

Hello,

The value can be transformed before it gets loaded in IBP. Please check with your CPI-DS consultant.

Hello Ayan,

I am using a master recipe. Did you mean that for the case with master recipe when var. bucket consumption won't be updated automatically?

Best regards,
Julian

Hello Julian

Are you using rate routing or master receipe ? If yes then variable bucket consumption wont be updated automatically in the SDI tables. The addin dosent support them as of now

Hello,

I followed your suggestion by converting the mapped values for capaconsumption in the CPI to minutes by dividing by 60.

The other issue is that in IBP the capacity consumption rate is not equal per product, because for some products I have a base quantity (output product coefficient) 1.000 and for others I have a base quantity (output product coefficient) 10.000 for example.

How can I ensure that the Capacity Consumption Rate takes into account the different values from Output Product Coefficient per product?

Thank you very much in advance.

Capacity consumption rate in IBP is only Per Base UOM of the product (This cannot be changed)

Hello Neeraj,

Thank you. I will have a look into the CPI as well but my point was how and what to do maybe on S/4 side in order to fix the issue?

Thanks.

Julian
